High on Lafayette Hill

4 Bedrooms / 4 Full & 1 Half Bathrooms

The four-bedroom "Edward Jacobi House".

Another amazing Milwaukee home is for sale. This four-bedroom home at the top of the Lafayette Hill, on the corner of Lafayette Place and Terrace Avenue, went on the market last week. It's right across the street from Back Bay Park and up the hill from the Alterra on the Lake (aka Colectivo).

This is the "Edward Jacobi House", which was designed by Milwaukee architect Thomas Van Alyea and built in 1937. It's a very lovely old home that has been completely modernized and upgraded. We love how the foyer with the winding, circular staircase looks very vintage while the big, open kitchen and family room looks like a modern new construction home. There's a big entertainment room in the basement - we rarely see that on the Eastside. Outside, there's a 3.5 car garage (awesome) and a really nice patio.
