Eastside Chateau

7 Bdrms / 4 Full & 1 Half Bath

The seven-bedroom Orrin Robertson House listed by Molly Gallagher, Julie Bulgrin, & Maggie Drane of Gallagher Kies & Company - Keller Williams Northshore.

The location is 1.35 acres overlooking Lake Michigan on Lake Drive in Milwaukee's Eastside. This is just south of Shorewood and north of Lincoln Memorial Drive.

The chateau-like Orrin Robertson House, one of the Eastside's treasures, was built in 1910 and designed by Alexander Eschweiler for Orrin Robertson and Harriet Holton Robertson. Orrin was a Milwaukee concrete executive and Harriet was a Holton of Holton Avenue. The home was modeled after France's Château d'Azay-le-Rideau, which the Robertsons visited on a trip to Europe.

It's over 9000 square feet and maintains originality but with modern updates. We love the family room with its unique cathedral ceiling (pictured below). The kitchen has been modernized yet has an awesome fireplace. The bathrooms look brand new and the sheer number of rooms in the listing photos is astounding. Outside, the 1.35 acres have gardens, fountains and a view of Lake Michigan.
