Louis Kindling House

5 Bdrm / 3 Full & 1 Half Bath

This Eastside five-bedroom Tudor Revival was listed in August by Falk Ruvin of Coldwell Banker.

The location is prime MKE real estate along Wahl Avenue facing Lake Park and Lake Michigan. It's just a short walk down the bluff to Bradford Beach or over to Downer Avenue.

One of our Eastside favorites is on the market. This five-bedroom Tudor Revival was built in 1910 for Louis Kindling, an early Milwaukee Cigar manufacturer. The architects were Ferry & Clas - the same team that designed the Pabst Mansion. This home served as the 2010 Breast Cancer Showhouse.

The home has a lovely, open front porch with a view of Lake Michigan, which improves in winter when the leaves are gone. Inside, the very cool foyer (pictured, below) caught our eye as well as the modernized kitchen that maintains the period theme. The third floor has an ample, open space and there is a separate living quarter above the garage in the carriage house.
