High Victorian Gothic

7 Bdrm / 5 Bath

Fantastic turn-of-the-century Newberry Blvd home recently listed by Scott Campbell of Re/Max.

One of the most ornamental homes in Milwaukee is on the market. This High Victorian Gothic-style home was the first home on Newberry Boulevard, built in 1896 for early Milwaukee attorney Benjamin Goldberg. Sadly, Goldberg was disbarred and never lived in the home (House Confidential has more details and the Milwaukee Library has a wonderful early photo).

The location is Summit and Newberry, just a few blocks east of Downer and a few blocks west of Lake Drive and Lake Park.

Almost seven thousand square feet and seven bedrooms, this large home remains highly original with the necessary modern upgrades in the kitchen and bathrooms. Plenty of excellent photos on this listing: make sure to go through them all. We especially love the huge carriage house - one of the largest on the Eastside.
