The Albright Mansion
3534 N Lake Drive Shorewood [map]
8 Bdrms / 5 Full & 2 Half Bath
Eschweiler-designed Mediterranean Revival style home built in 1927 and just listed by Paul Handle of Mahler Sotheby's International Realty for $2.995 million.
This incredible Mediterranean Revival-style mansion was built in 1927 for the Albrights and designed by Eschweiler & Eschweiler. It was just listed this week by Paul Handle of Mahler Sotheby's International Realty, for $2,995,000. Charles Albright was a successful insurance executive who married Laura Uihlein, the daughter of Henry Uihlein (one of the founding brothers of the Schlitz Brewing Company).
The location is Shorewood, south of Atwater Park. This is an ideal Lake Michigan Milwaukee location: two+ wooded and landscaped acres on Lake Drive overlooking Lake Michigan.
And the house itself is spectacular - the columns and archways inside this home are fantastic. We especially adore the wood-paneled living room with its gigantic fireplace and the dining room with its mirrored walls and views of the Lake. There are too many details in the photos (via the link below) to list here. This is easily one of the coolest listings we've reviewed on our site.
