Barr Williamson in Fox Point
6810 N Barnett Lane Fox Point
5 Bedrooms / 4 Full & 1 Half Bath
This Mid-Century Modern style home on the Lake Michigan bluff was listed in mid-January. It was designed by Milwaukee architect Russell Barr Williamson
Barr Williamson worked under Frank Lloyd Wright and then worked on his own in Milwaukee from the 1930s until his death in the 1960s. This home, built in 1959 on Barnett Lane in Fox Point was one of his later designs. The location is the southern part of Barnett where it meets Lake Drive.
The home overlooks the lake and has a large expanse of huge windows for an excellent view of the Lake. The kitchen and bathrooms have been modernized but the home still has that great mid-century feel that we really like. Sitting near the stone, the wood, the big windows and a roaring fire with a view of Lake Michigan would be a lovely way to spend a winter weekend.
