Across from Atwater

4 Bedrooms / 4 Full & 1 Half Bath

Jan Hatzel

Four-bedroom Lake Drive Georgian Revival in Shorewood.

This five-bedroom Georgian Revival-style home was built in the early 1900s on Lake Drive in Shorewood and was just listed this week for the first time in a long time (we couldn't find a record of a previous sale).

The location is directly across Lake Drive from Atwater Park. At the time that this home was constructed, Atwater was a very common summer spot for Milwaukee-ians. They'd take the "Dummy Line" train up from Farwell/North to swim in the lake. Shorewood formally constructed Atwater Park about 1915, shortly after this home was constructed.

And it looks pretty traditional and is in need of updating but still lovely. We especially like the little master-suite deck that overlooks the backyard. There are four bedrooms and two full bathrooms on the second level while the attic has a large entertainment space, a potential fifth bedroom and another full bath.
