Wauwatosa in 1880

4 Bedrooms / 2 Full Bath

Four-bedroom shingled Queen Anne Victorian style home in central Wauwatosa.

Wauwatosa's history began around 1840, when people started building homes along the Menomonee River. By 1890, neighborhoods and most of today's Wauwatosa streets were established, as you can see from this cool, 1892 real estate illustration (credit Wikipedia).

Location is on 70th Street, south of Milwaukee Avenue and just west of Quarry Heights.

This four-bedroom shingled Queen Anne Victorian style home in central Wauwatosa was built in 1880. WisconsinHistory.org doesn't have any details on the home or its original inhabitants, but it seems like it is very good, original condition. We love the "turret" on the corner of this home which makes for a very interesting sunroom off of the master. What a treasure this home is.
