That Mid-Century Modern on Yates

4 Bedrooms / 4 Bathrooms

Abe Tannenbaum four bedroom home designed for the original Bucks' owner.

In 1954, architect Abe Tannenbaum built this beautiful four bedroom home on Yates Road in Fox Point for Milwaukee real estate developer Marvin Fishman. Tannenbaum architected many of the Mid-Century Modern homes around Fox Point, Bayside and Whitefish Bay. Meanwhile, Fishman went on to found the NBA franchise that became the Milwaukee Bucks and served as its owner through 1976.

This is our favorite of Tannenbaum's designs. Every time we drive by, it catches our eye. The current owners have done plenty of modernizing and upgrading, including the yard. This is a four bedroom, four bathroom (three full) home - typically these MCM homes are two and three bedroom homes. We particularly like the way the kitchen (which has been updated) overlooks the living room, into the yard.

What a cool house! All of the pictures and details via the link below.
