The Best of 2015
Our "year in review" of the best homes that are still available.
Thank you for making 2015 a great year for MKECribs! What an interesting year. Milwaukee is, apparently, one of the best housing markets in the country and we spent the year watching some very cool houses sell very quickly. What a difference from just a few years ago.
This is our "year in review" for 2015. And thank goodness, we were able to find a few of our favorites are still available. Here's the list...
321 W. Nokomis Court, Fox Point:
This four bedroom bathroom home is our favorite of the year. It has a very cool, modern interior, five bathrooms and one of the best pool layouts we've seen in Milwaukee. It's on the western side of Fox Point on a quiet dead end street. We featured it back in July and it's still available, listed by Rachel Bloch.
2004 W Highland, Milwaukee:
We always love a good beer family residence and this five bedroom home, located north of Marquette, was originally built for the Schlitz family. We featured this historical home in June and it is still available, listed by Sara Dreyer.
9430 N. Upper River Road, River Hills:
In 1940, Walter C. Davidson, son of the founder of Harley Davidson, built this "English Cottage Style" home on one of the prettiest streets in all of Milwaukee. Listed by Paul Handle, it is still available.
1500 West Dean Road River Hills:
This six bedroom, seven bathroom with 7,000 square foot home in River Hills is the biggest home we featured in 2015. It's also gorgeous. This home did not sell and doesn't seem to be active but is still up on Zillow.
4821 W Glen Cove Ct, Mequon:
This modern, funky, three bedroom home located near Homestead High School in Mequon, was built by an award winning architect. Listed by Randall Bauter, it is still available.
7769 N Club Circle, Fox Point:
One of our all time favorite "Mid Century Modern" home was built in 1950 by noted Wisconsin architect Russell Barr Williamson. We featured it last May and it did not sell. Although it doesn't seem to be active, it is still up on Zillow.
5481 Danbury Rd Whitefish Bay:
Just about every Whitefish Bay home we featured in 2015 was quickly gobbled up. Fortunately this four bedroom home in a perfect location is still available. It's located near Winkies and is listed by Susie Popalisky & Cathy Rapp.
1112 E Goodrich Lane, Fox Point:
We featured this home last March and we can't believe someone didn't buy it during the summer because it's another one with an awesome pool. Listed by Fran Maglio Wallace, it is still available.
9205 Upper River Road River Hills:
Another Russell Barr Williamson designed home, this four bedroom home on Upper River in River Hills is spread out over 5,000 square feet on six acres along the river with a guest house, and an outdoor full court basketball court. Listed by Katie Falk and Richard Ruvin, it's still available.
W58N455 Hilbert Ave Cedarburg:
We love the way this old (1895) Cedarburg farmhouse has been restored/modernized. We featured it originally in November and it's still available. Listed by the Jay Schmidt Group.
4001 W Mequon Rd, Mequon:
Speaking of old farmhouses, we loved this very old Mequon Farmhouse (1848). It was built long before Mequon became a city. It was featured in December but has been on the market since November. It is listed by Ellen Wilde.
106 W SEEBOTH ST #1001:
Last but certainly not least, we love the wicked awesome view from this 10th floor, three bedroom condo on the river in the Fifth Ward. It has been for sale since August and is now listed by Mindy Dehate.
Once again, thanks for reading! Please tell your agent that you saw it on MKEcribs!
