Lac Labelle Prairie School
3 Bedrooms / 3 Bathrooms
Three bedrooms on Lac Labelle in Oconomowoc.
Here's one that was sent to us this morning and it's perfect for a hot Friday afternoon. It's a three bedroom home on Lac Labelle in Oconomowoc.
The architect is one that we love to feature: Russell Barr Williamson. Williamson was a student of Frank Lloyd Wright and and his work is considered part of the Frank Lloyd Wright "Prairie School" style of architecture. We've featured his homes on the Milwaukee River and along Lake Michigan, but never on an inland lake.
Lac Labelle is the western most lake of the "Lake Country" lakes (like Pewaukee, Pine, Okauchee, etc). It's a big scow sailing lake, thus the MC "scow" on the dock of this home. It's really not far from downtown Milwaukee, provided that some day they stop working on I-94.
The hallmark of any of Williamson's designs is big windows in a main living area of a home. This home has huge windows in the living room overlooking the lake. Very cool. The home sits on 100 feet of shoreline with a nice peer and a convenient boat house right on the shore.
